A time for giving back
Designs celebrating togetherness. Projects improving lives. Inspiring ways to help others.
what if it happened to me?
Millions have lost their homes, their livelihoods and have fled to foreign communities.
Here, we’d like to introduce you to some of those people.
Put yourself in their shoes for a moment. What if it happened to you? What if you were forced to leave everything behind and start again. Experience their journey – Sleep rough on the streets…Find work in a foreign country without knowing the language…Live in rundown shelter after you’ve spent a life living comfortably…Work in a factory with children, children who lost access to education…Talk with families struggling to know what to do.
It’s an enormous continual struggle for people to live day to day, let alone return to previous standards of living.
We stand in solidarity with those forced to rebuild their lives. We believe we can all be a part of giving back to help people when they need it most.
We’re living in the biggest humanitarian crisis of modern times. Our story began by wanting to get involved, do something.
Today, 1 in every 20 people living in Turkey are refugees.
That’s nearly four million people, and an incredible number to get your head around. As a handful of volunteers living in Izmir, Turkey, we could see there were gaps in support and we wanted to try to fill them. Two years later, we’re now a small social enterprise, with some amazing supporters from around the world.
Empowerment is core to our work. We know that the families we work with have solutions to their problems. And we work together to try to solve them. We fund projects that focus on living conditions, livelihoods and community development. And above all it’s about dignity. We’re not creating huge grand schemes, but simple things that make a difference. Throughtout the winter of 2017/18 we’ve been building toilets, providing tents and firewood amongst other things. And sometimes just spending time with people lets them know you care.

The Tribe Projects was founded by Kelli, a former COO working in a global bank in London. But it’s our supporters, campaigners, partners and volunteers who are the team that make things happen.
Why Tribe? When we think of the word “tribe”, most of us probably think of it as relating to traditional living conditions. But what does it mean to be part of a tribe today? In today’s social envrironments we mix with and embrace our wonderful differences. But we still feel this need and desire to really connect with people, to know we share something with others. We are people coming together who share a common vision of social responsibilty, and above all humanity.
Tribe means belonging, togetherness, community, being a part of something.
Together, we make a difference
None of what we do would be possible without you. Thank you for your support.
